about us

Shadow and Sax Press is a Canadian independent literary and arts press building a house for the ignored — a home for honest art and literature and the experimental that exists in between.
We are dedicated to work grounded in honesty, lived experience, and voices often overlooked in traditional spaces.
We publish hybrid work, poetry, experimental writing, and short fiction, alongside visual art and photography.
Our publications include a twice-yearly poetry journal, a twice-yearly experimental zine, an annual literary and arts magazine featuring art, photography, short stories, and poetry, and a growing series of poetry chapbooks and pamphlets. Selected work is also featured online.
Our goal is simple: to create a space where vulnerable, honest, strange, and unvarnished work can be seen, supported, and remembered.
