Ryan Di Francesco (he/him) is a Canadian writer, teacher and co-founder of Shadow and Sax. He began as a freelance journalist, with work appearing in The Toronto Star and outlets across North America, before turning his focus to poetry and fiction. His writing has appeared in Acta Victoriana, Pacific Review, Pinhole Poetry, Soliloquies Anthology, and more. His chapbooks include Mirage of Burning Things (Parlyaree Press), Skeleton Mine Disaster (Bottlecap Press), The Paper Hound and Canadian Classic (Alien Buddha Press). He was shortlisted for the Rhonda Gail Williford Poetry Prize. He also loves his dog, Lady Trixie Yellow Dog Mattel. @ryan_difrancesco
Jessica Miller

Jessica Miller (she/her) is a writer and co-founder of Shadow and Sax. She serves as Editorial and Creative Director, overseeing design, production, and the visual direction of the press. She has a long history in the magazine industry dating all the way back to 2010.

Her work is grounded in close attention and care for detail, from colour and layout to how a piece is edited, presented, and handled. She is at her best when immersed in the visual side of a project—choosing colours, refining layouts, and shaping how the work comes together as a whole. She spends her free time obsessing over her dog, Lady Trixie Yellow Dog Mattel. @jessiiica.anne
Beatriz Mac

Beatriz Mac (she/her) is a Brazilian-Canadian writer and avid reader. She holds an Associate degree in Creative Writing from Capilano University and a BA in English from the University of Victoria, both with a focus on poetry and fiction. Her work gravitates toward emotional, raw and honest everyday moments as well as the immigrant experience. @beatrizmac.writing

Ella B. Winters (she/they) is a social worker, writer, and double immigrant, living on the South-East coast of England with her partner and a sausage dog. Her work often explores themes of identity and locating yourself in the world. She is currently working on her PhD in Health Science. @ella.b.winters

Sandrine Letellier (she/her) finds inspiration in nature, music, and visual arts. From Montreal, her work has been published in Antiphony, Sontag Mag, Shadow and Sax, Sky Island journal, Wild Roof journal, Free Verse Revolution, Querencia Press, Bitter Melon Review and others. She is the founder and Editor-In-Chief of Azarão Lit Journal. @aftermath.poems
Sebastian Karall

Sebastian Karall (he/him) is an emerging poet and writer from Woodstock, Ontario. He recently graduated from Huron at Western University with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. JJ Jorge

JJ Jorge (he/him) is a Vancouver-based photographer. His work is inspired by documentary photographers like Jill Freedman and Steve McCurry as well as street photographers like Cameron Belliveau and Charalampos Kydonakis. He loves Parisian culture and has been published in various photography zines and has been featured in gallery shows in Vancouver. He is also founder of the Jamie Stewart Fan Club. @seymorestreet
