Let Me Draw a True Portrait of Me

It is enclosing me from every side.
Grinning.
The outline is—
a presence.
Whispering.
I try to keep it at a distance.
Poking.
Scraping.
Like the outside world.
But it multiplies.
There.
It multiplies.
See?

Itadakimassacre is an illustrator and designer exploring the quiet horrors of everyday life. The work is bold, expressive, and emotionally charged—using scratchy linework, heavy contrast, and dark themes to provoke thought and feeling. It embraces the tension between beauty and horror, black and white, imperfection and innocence. Personal experiences with mental health and medical challenges deeply inform the art, making each piece both a confrontation and a release.

“With things like mental health and medical issues, being able to access a creative part of my mind allows for understanding through expression. I find it beautiful how art allows us to access connections within ourselves and with others.”
